Hi Kirsty,

Although I personally don't know the Sarann, it gets good reviews!

For weather in January, that should be fine, for more details please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, right hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Hope this helps for now.

Hi Camille,

This is a great blog and I'm keeping an eye on it as we will travel to Bophut next week. I've noticed that the weather is forecast to change to rain pretty much from the day we arrive. So many people have said that there should still be enough sun to get out and about even though it is the rainy season - what do you think?

I really hope we can do some diving and snorkelling and travel to Ko Tao too...

Thanks

Danielle

Hi Danielle,

Right now it looks indeed as if the weather forecast has changed and from mid week onward strong wind and lots of rain are predicted.
Snorkeling around Koh Tao will be possible pending on the wind, as long as the boats can go out, snorkeling should be no problem.
