July and August are usually very nice, please have a look at my archives, half way down the page on my Samui info and weather blog, left hand side, they go back a few years. Open a month that you’re interested in and check one of the of the last posts of each month, starting with ‘Goodbye to…………’ this post will tell you the weather conditions for that month.
You can also check each individual post for that month if you wish to.

Hello! My boyfriend and I are currently in Hua Hin and are planning to
live in Thailand for the next 3-4 months. We are debating between Koh
Samui and Hua Hin as the place to stay. Which you would you say is better
for a couple in their 30's looking for a relaxing place but with a bit of
buzz if we did want a night out. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hi,

Living on Samui, I'm biased! Having said that, I've once been in Hua Hin and regrettably must say that I didn't like it that much, I prefer the nearby Cha'am much better. Overall however, my vote would go to Samui............

Hope this helps.

Hello Camille,

Thank you for your response! I have been busy house hunting! Needless to say I decided to stay in Hua Hin so that I can travel around with ease. I do like the idea of Koh Samui, but there were two major concerns. Internet (a crucial element to my stay here bc I have to remain in contact for work purposes) and getting around Thailand easily. I must admit, if this wasnt so much of an issue I would seriously consider Koh Samui. How long have you been there? Are you on a long holiday?

I will most definitely check out Cha'am. Do you have any recommendations? What is it that you like about it so much? Thank you so much for your feedback. I appreciate it!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Sherry

Hi Sherry,

I have Triple T internet on Samui and in general that works fine. Samui is relatively easy and convenient to use as a hub, however, the monopoly of Bangkok Airways on the Samui airport make for expensive flights to/from Samui. How to get to/from Samui

I’ve been here since late 1999 and live here ever since.

On Cha’am, I found it more catering to the Thai market in contrast to Hua Hin that caters heavily to the Western market. Only been once in each of these locations and these are my very subjective observations. I found Cha’am more relaxed.
