21st January, 2010

Today's weather;

Koh Tao, where I'm staying for the next 3 days for diving purposes, looks fantastic this morning with a near blue sky and a current temp at 7am of 23.1C.

Yesterday saw a lovely, sunny with a max temp of 31.3C on Samui and Koh Tao, not bad for January.

Hi Camille
I have just been reading some older issues of your blog and note that Samui
had alot of wind in April last year. Is this a common April weather
pattern? Is there a seasonal direction the wind comes from in April May or
is it varied? I hope the diving is great for you over there! Looking
forward to the next food review. Regards Bronwyn

Hi Bronwyn,

As always, good to hear from you. I don't think that April usually has that much wind and come April, the wind blows in from the Nathon side, West. The wind changes twice a year, right now it blows in onto Chaweng and changes around March/April with the reverse around September/October.

The diving's been going fine, just got back from a night dive!
